This amazingly feisty , aggressive and agile harvester ant is said to have the most potent venom of any insect in the world. Fortunately for us ant keepers they do not have the ability to deliver the payload to make their sting lethal. When they are agitated the workers of this species and sometimes the queens stand in a stiff posture with the gaster sticking straight in the air. They are extremely fast moving .They are fast growing and can be raised on seeds and drinking water alone but would benefit from insect proteins as well.
Not recommended for young ant keepers without parental supervision .
